Biography
Meryl A. Hoeft is a partner in the firm. Meryl seeks to find comprehensive and efficient solutions to the issues faced by her clients. She is experienced in all areas of Matrimonial and Family law, including divorce, drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, seeking child and spousal support, resolving child custody and parental access issues, determining equitable distribution, seeking protection orders and motion practice involving enforcement or modification of prior agreements and orders. Meryl regularly appears in the Family Courts and Supreme Courts of New York City and surrounding counties. She has also successfully litigated appeals before the First and Second Departments of the Appellate Division.
Meryl's legal career has focused on Family Law since 2012. Meryl's prior clients describe her as "caring but firm," "detailed and thorough" and "always focused on solution-driven results."
Meryl was selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers New York Metro "Rising Stars" list every year 2016-2023. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Meryl received her law degree from New York Law School in 2013, cum laude, where she was a member of the Diane Abbey Law Institute for Children and Families and Articles Editor of the Law Review. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007, graduating with honors. Meryl is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
